Advanced Cenote Caverns for Experienced Divers 

Deep and mystical sinkholes, known as dolines, are combined with cenotes that are generally more enclosed than the larger, open-water cenotes of the Riviera Maya. These unique formations feature spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, columns, flowstone, and other beautiful speleothems, creating an impressive underwater cavern environment.

This type of advanced cenote diving in the Riviera Maya is designed for experienced recreational divers who are comfortable with deeper water and more confined environments. Advanced Open Water Diver certification is required, along with excellent buoyancy control and proper trim.

Divers should be confident maintaining stable trim and buoyancy while navigating more enclosed areas and avoiding contact with the delicate formations. The combination of greater depth, limited spaces, and intricate geological features makes this a more demanding and rewarding cenote diving experience in the Riviera Maya.

What’s Included

• Round-trip transportation from Playa del Carmen or an agreed meeting point along the route to the selected cenote. The included route depends on the cenote you choose. 

• Certified Cenote Guide and Instructor

• Tanks and weights

• Snacks and beverages

• Cenote entrance fees

• A full day of cenote diving, approximately 7–8 hours

What’s Not Included

• Transportation outside the route to the selected cenote. If your accommodation is outside that route, we can arrange transportation for an additional cost or coordinate a meeting point along the route. 

• Rental gear: $20 USD for a full set or $5 USD per piece

• Camera admission fee, when applicable
