How Long Is the Discover Our Maya World Tour?

Full day, around 7-8 hours from Playa del Carmen, Akumal or Tulum. We start early in Tulum ruins to avoid heat and crowds, then jungle cenote, then Akumal turtles. Private transport between spots, no cattle van waiting for 15 people. 

Tulum Ruins Morning Visit 

1.5 hours guided in Tulum Archaeological Site. We enter early when it's cooler. You see El Castillo, Temple of the Frescoes and learn Postclassic Maya history with ocean view. Time for photos, no rush, small private group with Luis, not a 40-person tour. 

Cenote Dos Ojos Snorkeling & Bat Cave 

1 hour snorkeling in Cenote Dos Ojos crystal-clear freshwater. Limestone formations, stalactites and cavern light beams from the Maya underworld Xibalba. Depending on conditions we include Bat Cave route. Life jackets, snorkel gear included, shallow platforms for non-swimmers 

Akumal Turtles - Responsible Snorkeling in Akumal Bay

1 hour guided snorkeling in Akumal Bay's seagrass shallows, home to green sea turtles. Your guide does a conservation briefing first: no touching, no chasing, keep distance. Wild animals, encounters depend on conditions and are never guaranteed, but Akumal is the best spot in Riviera Maya for turtles

Regional Mexican Lunch Included

45 minutes for a regional Mexican lunch stop with water and soft drinks. Depending on the day and heat, lunch can be after the cenote or after Akumal to make the route smoother. Extra drinks at restaurant and personal expenses not included. Tell us about allergies beforehand.

Do You Guarantee Turtles in Akumal?

No. Turtles in Akumal Bay are wild and protected, sightings can never be guaranteed. Akumal is the best place in Riviera Maya to see green sea turtles because of its seagrass beds, and we see them on most days, but nature has no schedule. We never chase, touch or feed turtles to force an encounter. If anyone guarantees you turtles 100%, they are not following SEMARNAT rules 

 What We Do to Increase Your Chances

We go in small private groups, early to avoid crowds, with a local guide who knows the feeding areas and current conditions. No fins kicking seagrass, no sunscreen in water, quiet approach. Responsible snorkeling protects the habitat and actually gives you better, longer encounters when a turtle is there.

If No Turtle That Day?

You still get Tulum ruins, Cenote Dos Ojos cavern snorkel, lunch, and a beautiful Caribbean snorkel in Akumal reef. No extra charge, no fake promises. Your tour is the full Discover Our Maya World experience with or without turtle sighting that day.
